NIS at India Conference: A Signed Contract Spells New Opportunities for NIS Business Development

Our colleagues from the Exploration and Production Block and NTC, with the support of the Government Relations and Corporate Communications Function, presented the Company at the India Energy Week 2024 Conference, which was held from February 6 to 9.

Numerous business contacts were made, which brought about the signing of a contract on further cooperation with the Rezlytix Company, and it was agreed to sign a contract with the companies CAIRN India and Oil India.

The conference in India, which brought together more than 35,000 experts from over 120 countries of the world, was an important point for the exchange of knowledge and experience, encouraging cooperation and discovering innovations in power generation.

Our company was among 350 exhibitors, and at the NIS stand, general information and a portfolio of products that we can offer on the external market were presented. Our stand also attracted interest due to the VR simulation of oil and gas exploration. numerous interested potential partners visited our stand, among them the Minister of State in the Ministry of Oil and Gas of India, Rameshwar Teli.

-India, as the third largest consumer of energy at the global level, is definitely the target country of the Upstream program, which refers to entering the external market, and that is why our participation in that big world conference was important. We were able to hold face-to-face meetings with the top management of companies such as ONGC, Oil India, Bharat, CAIRN and the Directorate of Oil and Gas under the Ministry of Power of India. India's key focuses for the development of the oil and gas business are the support of oil and gas production levels in existing deposits and development, as well as the exploitation of new deposits onshore and offshore. The experience and competences of Upstream correspond to the development of business in the mentioned region, and activities in that direction will continue - said the head of the Sector for Business Development of the "Exploration and Production" Block, Dmitry Ponomaryov.

Thanks to the interaction at our stand, and subsequent private meetings in the representative offices of the companies in New Delhi, in addition to the agreed guidelines for further cooperation, a visit to our company by Indian partners is also planned.

-Special interest was caused by our offer regarding the processing and interpretation of seismic data, reservoir development plan and reservoir optimization program in the late phase of exploitation, as well as chemical methods for increasing oil production. During the conference, we were introduced to a new way of commercializing services. The Directorate of Oil and Gas under the Ministry of Energy provides an opportunity for companies to do a reserve estimate, and sell it to other companies operating in India. The technology development strategy of Indian key companies is focused on increasing the resource base and optimizing OPEX on existing deposits. This confirmed our hypothesis about the products that were chosen for presentation on the Indian market - emphasized NTC business development manager Mihail Tarakanovski.

The notable participation in the conference brought our company its first contracts and opened up new opportunities for business development on the Indian market.
