Award for Originality and Persistence Goes to Dubravka

Our Dubravka Novičić, Junior Seismic Data Processing Specialist at the STC, participated at the conference Seismics in Siberia and Beyond („Сейсмика в Сибири и за её пределами“) held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.

Dubravka’s paper Problems Caused by Lack of Information in Archive Seismic Data and Their Solving in the Example of 2D Seismic Data Reprocessing in Western Siberia („Проблема комплектности исходных архивных данных СРР и её решение на примере проекта переобработки 2Д данных СРР в Западной Сибири) won an award for originality and persistence in reaching a goal.

The award’s important to me because it was the first time that I had participated in an international conference with many experts in seismic data processing and interpretation. Besides, it was the first conference where I had an opportunity to present in Russian and show the knowledge of Russian that I had gained in the last two years. During the conference I met some colleagues who showed interest in the paper presented and shared their experience in historical data reprocessing, thus improving my knowledge and giving me new ideas for further professional development, Dubravka underlined.

The conference gathered 300 attendees and 45 of them presented their papers.
